LEEK THRASH ROCESTER WHISLT UNVIELING 11TH SIGNING
Leek Town romped to the Hutchinson Memorial Trophy after demolishing Rocester 4-0 after revealing the club’s latest signing. Ryan Duffy-McGirr completed a scholarship in the USA after coming through the Sheffield Wednesday centre of excellence before spending a short spell at Alfreton Town. As for the match, Rocester offered very little compared to Leek who dominated from the first to last minute. Rocester manager Mark Wilson looks to have a job on his hands next season as Casswell’s men go from strength to strength with all of his 11 summer signings.

ROCESTER 0-1 PORT VALE XI
Rocester hosted a Port Vale XI side to kick-off their pre-season but unfortunately couldn’t grab a result. Vale managed to nick the match by a one goal margin as they get ready for life in Football League 1 again next season. As for Rocester they will play Leek Town for the Hutchinson Memorial Trophy on Tuesday in what should be an enthralling encounter.

ROCESTER CAPTURE EX-FOOTBALL LEAGUE DEFNEDER
Manager Mark Wilson has grabbed the signature of former Mansfield and Notts County defender Dan Martin and so will be wearing the stripes of Rocester next season. Martin is not a strange face on the non-league scene after playing for the likes of Tamworth, Coalville Town and more recently Mickleover Sports. The 28 year-old joins Dominic Allen, striker Troy Carty and former Burton Albion youth team player Shane O'Reilly in the new signings department. In other transfer news Dan Brown has left for Leek Town along with Scott Staniland and Carl Thompson who have joined division rivals Quorn. Brown became one of the best performing players last year for The Romans and Wilson was disappointed to see him go. “We're sad to be losing Dan Brown. He's a top bloke and he'll always be welcome back at Rocester” said Wilson but reassured that; "Dan missed quite a few games last season but we've got plenty of options now." Rocester now focus on the visit of Port Vale who visit Hillsfield on Saturday afternoon in their first pre-season friendly.
